nice idea for the heavy duty ammo crate, although the cardboard one wouldnt be much help as bullets would fly through it like knife through butter:P
Yeah, I think either a giant roll of bubble wrap or a big stack of towels might be worse. I think I am going to go with the bubble wrap because you can see throught it too! :applause:
I still have a couple hundred polys to work with, I’m thinking I can model the ridges in the case.
Looking good! I can’t wait to see what the inside is going to look like. I would also suggest that you put alot of decals on this. It’s gonna look really cool. I’m not sure how many poly’s you have now, but if you put some extras on the outside and add some weeds that would look nice too. Keep it up!
Thanks for the comments. I will wrap this one up and get on to more which is more exciting. I think the best part of it will be the interrior, the rest is really just a box.
My idea for a barrel is a trap that would be found in a horror game. It would be discuiesd as an oak barrel, but when the player gets close to it some mechanical arms in the mid section come out and “hug” the player while the top opens up, and a rounded spring loaded blade releases to decapiate them with a “kiss”. The barrels will be lightly marked with “XOXO” to define the barrel contents.
you could make the box a light gray-brown with green stripes or spots over it, like the army has it. and more rusty at the edges.
I agree, I was going for sort of an oversized pellican case because seems like it wouild be more fitting for something delicate like a nuke. However a steel military box would look more interesting.
I think this idea is more better. :twisted: I dont know that my sketch really makes all that much sense. I had a lot of the modeling done before I realized I need a sketch. I need to finish up a little more of the model and then I can animate it.
I think the animation needs a bit of tweaking. I have a little more space with the tri’s also. Well, on to texturing.
