UGAC - PROP 101 - JUNGLE - YoWom_the_Creator

#1

Hello everyone! I’ve been looking for an opportunity to join an online challenge, and one this small is hard to pass up.

The prop I chose to model is an ancient tribal horn made out of an elephant tusk. The type of game would be a real-time strategy in which the horn might serve as a key for solving a puzzle. Here’s a quick sketch.

I’ve been thinking about adding more foilage to the horn, but I don’t know what do think?

here’s an update…currently at 993 triangles.

did some texturing today. I’d like to put in more foilage but I can’t add anymore polys.

I like the look of those rocks, they feel pretty good to me. However, I don’t like the feel of that grass, it doesn’t seem to mesh well with the rocks. The rocks have this photo feel to them and the grass has a more painterly feel to it.

Also, I don’t get a sense that the jungle is “owning” your prop enough (I have the same problem with mine). So maybe get some vines growing up the rocks? Or perhaps have some moss sprout? It is up to you.

Alright I’m calling it finished. I won’t be able to do anymore before the deadline…anyway:
