UGAC - PROP 101 - JUNGLE - Pyrotechnic

Right, final decision, this or nothing. (if someone could delete my other thread pls)

Game: FPS

Prop:
A multi purpose power glove.
Basically a powered glove worn by the player for a number of uses including communication, GPS tracking, torch and compass. Oh, and the built in chainsaw could be handy at some point :smiley:

Then I’ll have fun doing the UV maps, then I’ll learn how to texture
I’ll post some concepts later (when I’ve done them ;))

Starting Renders:

Currently stands at 1006 tris, and it hasn’t got half the stuff I wanted :frowning:

It’s designed to be used in the jungle, for seeing in the dark, finding your way, cutting down vines, that kind of thing. I’ve read the guide quite a few times and I think it fits very well with it.

Having had a thought about the poly count, I feel I can cut it down quite a bit because most of the left-hand-side won’t be seen in-game :wink:

hm…that model seems very blocky, and still it has more than 1000 tris ? show us a wireframe plz :wink:

I agree, that’s what MAX counts though :shrug:.

Right now your model seems really blocky. You could probably take polygons out of the tubing that runs from the wrist to the top of the hands and redistribute those polygons to smooth out the overall hand.

Yeah, I could, also having 1 torch would help too, cheers.
