I have created a statue of a cobra for this prop challenge. I envisioned that it could be used in a multitude of game genres as an environment prop to aide in the ambience of a jungle-inspired game level. It is 999 triangles and employs a color, bump, and specular map; each being 512x512 pixels in resolution.

Here is the wireframe view as well as a sort of evolution of the model…

It’s good but the texture has wrong colors that you get when you resize a JPG. You could fix that by first making it grayscale then making a color balance adjustment so you would get rid of the blue/red bits.
Thats a really nice model/texture job you did, i really like it.
The colors are very nice aswell, nothing to add imHo, really cool work!
nice! a bit blurry, but nice
but you should use a green ground under those alpha-leaves, they have a white border, that’s kinda disturbing
very nice, I am learning alot about texturing and game modeling just from seeing everyone else’s entries…=) super good idea/model/textures.

–hey everyone, I was happy to see that my model was well recieved. Thanks NEOX for the alpha tip, I knew there was something off with the foliage, and I think you are right about the edges. You guys all know how easy it is to overlook something as obvious as that detail when youve been workin on the same thing for a while…
–will get to fixing up that alpha edge asap–
–as for the concept, well the idea just kind of came to me as I was sketching some crumbly rocky types of things on my bristol in preperation for the challenge. Anyways, thanks again for the support, and critiques are always welcome and always helpful!
