I imagine my prop would be best suited to a fps as it would force the player to be more cautious of their environment! I thought of the idea of setting a trap as my prop. A grenade, pin out, bound with vine to a piece of bamboo steaked into the ground; trip wire stretched out concealed by foliage, the trap still active after many years undisturbed is even more deadily!

Render of the grenade (WIP). Might have to strip some more triangles out of this to make room for the other items on the list. However i think a lot of the foliage will be covered using alphas. This is a lot harder than i thought
Crits Welcome.
cool idea - you could strip ALL of the polys out of the pin’s hinge, and lose a couple sides of the cylinder on the gren and still have a really good lookin prop!
Nice idea, not sure many people would have thought of that route which is good. I would imagine most of the foliage could be done with alpha’s. Be nice to see how you progress with this…
Great start mate, and a good idea. I’d suggest tweaking what you’ve got now to free up as many polys as poss. The ring pull looks like it could shed a few, and as the other guy suggested with the hinge, you can probably strip some polys from there and other bits.
Nice one mate, very interested to see how this develops.
