UGAC - PROP 101 - JUNGLE - ArchangelTalon

Eh, well, real life has stepped in and thrown some time-consuming obstacles in my way (job interviews and a huge render). So I didn’t get much further than a half-finished statue. Resultantly, I’m not gonna be going any further in this comp.

I’d delete this post/thread, but I can’t find how…
RPG environmental prop.

Inspired by both Tyler Durden’s vision in Fight Club and Coleman’s world in 12 Monkeys.

[size=1]In the world I see - you are stalking elk through the damp canyon forests around the ruins of Rockefeller Center. You’ll wear leather clothes that will last you the rest of your life. You’ll climb the wrist-thick kudzu vines that wrap the Sears Tower. And when you look down, you’ll see tiny figures pounding corn, laying strips of venison on the empty car pool lane of some abandoned superhighway.

The prop wil be the Rockefeller centre fountain centrepiece, overgrown by roots that have found the waters there and taken hold. Green with algae and entangled with vines.

Quick paintover of a photograph;

Great idea! I can’t wait to see it. I made a boxy door thinking it was the only way to get something decent done with 1000 tris:P

Agreed! This concept kicks mighty ass! I’m interested in seeing how it shapes up.

Hahaha, yeah, it’s gonna be a struggle at 1000 tris.

I’ve got the base modeled in 98tris. I reckon 3/400 for the guy and then the rest on the roots.

It may fall flat on it’s face, but hey :stuck_out_tongue:

Interesting concept … how You want to create this :shrug: . I will look at here more often.
Take Care.

well with this limited Polycount and the concept you have, i think i’d better do it as a whole and not a man and root seperated from each other. I guess the texture should do way more work then the model itself :slight_smile:

but i can’t wait to see your approach :slight_smile:
