I am going to revamp an old game concept of mine, the Crate Crab. It would be for a third person, puzzle oriented game called Scavenger. Here is the old painting:

The basic idea behind Scavenger is you are a Space Archaelogist, exploring the space equivalent of ghost towns; abandoned colonies following the first colonist boom. After being abandoned, the local wildlife begins to recover their former territory, and many species adapted, like hermit crabs, to their new surroundings. To aid in your exploration you must interact with the local flora and fauna; for example, the Crate Crab. Throw some tasty veggies on the ground below a ledge that is too high, and watch the Crate Crab pull itself over to eat. Then use him as a stepping stone to reach the higher ledge
I am going to redesign him to look more interesting, this painting was basically just a quick sketch and material study. I think in-game there would be lots of variations, different crabs in different kinds of crates, etc.
EDIT - I just realized this would have worked for the last challenge too
werps. Also, is it ok to redesign an old character like this? Or should I come up with something new?
DOUBLE EDIT - I’m a dweeb, just realized I left “AMBIENT ARTHROPOD” out of my topic title…
