Two preproduction stills

#1

Well, I finished all the interiors for the animation I’m working on and am stepping outside to do the exterior sets now. I thought I’d share these two small test renders. Not happy with the AA on them, but I’ve got that problem solved in final renders.

There are four interior sets. The yellow one is the most complex, and only a small part of it is shown here (there’s a full set behind the camera and to the left too- gotta keep some surprises for the film).

No real crits requested at this point, thank you. I have my goal and own vision for this project; I know what I need to work on still and my wife is about the only critic I can handle at this point. :surprised: (She’s real tough) I need to keep moving forward and not tweak things at this point or it’ll NEVER get finished!

I’m sharing this more to inspire and give a “keep it up- you’ll get things done if continue working at it” to anyone needing that.

Enjoy. (I’ll edit in the SECOND link once it’s done rendering).

Ok, here’s the other set. There’s a little hallway outside this bedroom too, so again only part can be shown. Decieded to up the resolution for ya all, as JPEG shreds the colors anyway.

One other comment: these are just illustrative lights so I can see how textures look in coordination with each other- NOT final light solutions at all.

:wip:

I like the the second images color and modeling. Nice furniture design. Whats it for? The first one is really nice. The piano and furniture are nice! Really nice modeling!

A short film I’m making. Been making for quite awhile now, in my limited spare time. It’s long for an animated piece by one person, though, about 15 minutes, so we’re talking years here (two down).

Completed modeling everything, am texturing it all now.

:applause: I like the style, it’s got that bendy expressionism, but it avoids the all too common soft marshmallow look that AM objects can suffer from.
