Twisted Extreme Sport - Character - Slacker

#1

Hopefully I’ll have enough time to finish this challenge, but I can’t promise anything… Just thought I’d try and live up the 2d section here.

I got an ideal for an extreme sport, but since we’re supposed to keep a secret, i thought I could maybe do some “baseball card” style poses of some of the sports players.

Here’s the start of my first “player card”…

This looks promising!
It will be interesting to see how you use your unique style to portray the actual sport.
I’ll be watching this one closely:beer:

thank you vovik.

ok, so i got a lttle bit more free time today and figured playing in illustrator would be a good way to spend it. So here’s a little update of the sport in action… some of you will remember playing this as a kid in school, except without the glowing pink ball.

feedback welcome

Cool, I was going to ask you about “Wall Ball” what it actually was. Now I remember doing something similar as a kid. There was lots of carnage, bruises, sore (unmentionable) body parts. It was fun as hell.

I like the amorphus quality to your illustration.

hehe. why is it whenever you dropped the ball, or missed the wall, they’d always peg you in the nuts when you had to take your free hit? lol.

When I moved away from the parents house, some friends and I moved into a house of our own. Out of sheer boredom we created a game called RafterBall. This involved kicking a miniature basketball around in the garage and trying to hit each other. Not directly, but a hit after the ball has bounced off of something, like the wall, or the “rafters” was a point for the other guy.
I also remeber a “Penalty Kick” situation, where you had to “guard” yourself. Those were the days. :bounce:

lol. I’ll keep that in mind next time my friends and I need a new drinking game. hehe.
