Tsoul sketch thread

#1

Hello!

Name is Tsoul and I’m 21 yrs young lol

First off have have to give props to the amazing talent on this site.
I’ve been around on the site for awhile now and finally decided to make the plunge and join up.
I’ve mainly been a graphic designer and for have been practicing my traditional drawing skills on and off for the last few years but seeing so much great artwork over the last few years I honestly can say I want to step my game up don’t know where or what I want to do yet but I’ve decided I want to get better than I’m currently am now.

I want to start with the basics as from I seen you can’t go no where without them its boring work but I can already see progress in my line strokes but I could use the critique and the help to push and make more appealing work so once again thanks for hearing me and for the help in advance I hope to be a regular among the community .

To start here are 2 foundation drawings ( I know not much ) looking to having more uploaded later I’m looking to improve playing with 3-d space.

and once again thank you for welcoming me to the community

Hello folks was able to get a bit of practice in not much but hoping to get a lot in tomorrow
so here I have my ear studies was one of those things I kept avoiding just trying to get that general shape in so far looks like I’m on the right path

#3

more studies done today

You’re definitely starting out the right way. There are no shortcuts, so going through the foundational work is a smart choice! That actually reminds me that I should probably go back and do the same thing sometime I the new future…

Anyway, good luck to you, keep up the good work!

#7

I really like how you work on the details of the ear good job man!

#8

Wanted to practice more on foundations before uploading again pretty happy with the progress tho

I really like your pencil strokes, They show some self - confidence in your drawing practice. Your studies itself also looks nice, keep pushing

Looking good so far! If you want to practice drawing the basic forms, I’d suggest drawing some simple objects from life. Also, whenever you start constructing things try to draw the basic forms through - try to draw them as though they were transparent and you could see all the edges. That goes for drawing from life too.

#11

thanks for the feedback by drawing transparent you’re just showing the lines right?

#12

Yeah, so you’re drawing the edges that are hidden behind surfaces. It should help you to get a better sense of volume and perspective.

#13

thank you really appreciate the input

#14

Some more faces out of the 100 I have laying around
