Trying to trigger dynamic using Velocity Peak and its not working

Hi gang,
I’ve done this procedure tons of times but now its not working. I have a stack of cubes in a cloner with a rigid body tag with the trigger set to At Velocity Peak. I am then using a plain effector with linear fall off to trigger the dynamics and it is not working. Do I have to add the effector in the effector slot in the cloner? I’m using r19 by the way.

If you want the effector to effect the cloner, then yes, the effector needs to be in the cloner’s effector list. Perhaps you could share a scene file to help demonstrate the issue?
