Trying to recreate error from luminance depth hardware renderer


Some days ago I was rendering a scene with luminance depth preset in maya hardware renderer 2.0 and got really strange render error. The image looks as if the depth information was displayed correctly, but still everything looksglitched and the colors are totally off.

Now I would really love to recreate this look, but have no idea on how and where to start.

Any idea on this one? Help is greatly appreciated!
