Trying to Get Tension Wrinkles in Pants

I’m having troubles getting tension wrinkles in pants. I’ve tried to keep the bedn and shear really low, and put pins on the cuffs of the pants to add soem tension (and to keep them from riding up the leg), but I’ not getting the level of detail i want. I dont really want to use a shader displacement fix as on the syflex tutorials page.

Any methods or ideas that people have used would be great.

rez of the poly cloth makes a big difference
also the original shape of the cloth, if there were any modeled in wrinkles…
as well as friction, and self env…

have you tried wrinkle map?

Where is the wrinkle map attr? Do you mean mapping the wrinkle swatch? Thank you.
