Lots of people ask for wire frames … well, I think this probably should suffice if you have broadband.

Nice model – almost like Shrek’s evil brother. I like the shield and the axe in particular. All that is missing are a few little skulls hanging around his neck.

I use your shortest path from time to time. I’m very tempted to upgrade it to work on N verts. I think if that was in there … I’d be using it every few minutes … particularly when detailing an existing model. Not so much for roughing out a volume. But more for fine-tuning.

There probably also needs to be a shortest path that won’t take any hard-turns. Hard turns would of course be a user specified thing. No turn greater than maybe 10, 20, 30, or 40 degrees. User would pick one limit.

The whole non-pole mostly quads debate takes a very different turn if we have a few advanced selectors that can work … even in the face of poles and tris which wreck a traditional loop.

Scorpius …

I’ve been mulling over the bag of skulls all day. I’m almost tempted to buy SILO just so I can draw the correct topology for a “mesh bag”. Then bring into Wings so can be mated with this evil-shrek.

But dog-gone mud-box is weighing on my mind too ! LOL.

And Zbrush 2.5 is probably right around the corner … as soon as I pull the trigger on mudbox fotr $300.00 I know that’s when Zbrush 2.5 is going to be released.

BAG OF SKULLS. I need to make a BAG !

Dog-gone … I tried every Splait in KNOT-PLOT an not one of them seems like a good candidate for morphing into a skull-bag.

Probably I just need to knit up a simple SQUARE-KNOT and use it to make a 4 way intersection knot that composes all the bag. Just replicate scale and repeat.

Man … I’d sure like a canned bag. LOL.

Yikes … after 1/2 day of fooling with Knot plot and using bones to decorate my mesh bag … I’ve blown my 64,000 edge budget for the mesh bag. I used bridge too much and created a single manifold. Now I can’t use manifoldlab to RIB render the critter.

And wings3D seems to fail early with the memory allocation.

Time to get a 10GB Ram system. LOL.

I have 2GB … but it runs out early. LOL.
