Alright enough talking. Lets get a decision and start this already. I’ll do whatever, all I want is a challenge. héhéh.

Is it going to start on the 1st of May?

Impatient, am I.

#325

well its either going to be human cutaway or 1 face 12 expressions…the face one seems to be winning in terms of user wants…and i hope it does win cos I really wanna do it…

i hope it starts soon too…

#326

dang that topic will be interesting, hope it pushes through

#327

I second this!

… although I might be a little biased since the author of the new Transformer comic books is a close personal friend and I’d love to give him the gift of his own car turning into one of his beloved robot heroes

Hell, if you wanted to make the challenge interesting I could provide a bunch of reference and everyone could try to turn the car into a transformer. It’d be interesting to see all the methods and influences invoked halo

But really, any challenge would be fine at this point and 1 face 12 expressions would be good for me to do (it’s an identified area of weakness) even if I don’t really want to do it from the outset.

Definitely not to be impolite, but transformers is a big ‘‘please NO’’.

But I do like the idea of creating a character or environment inspired from one of the upcoming blockbusters of this summer!!!

#19 - HARDCORE MODELING!: 80’s Cartoon: G.I. JOE Wild Bill

I’m just going to throw out pirates and ninjas, that seems like a fun topic i could get my teeth into

I was thinking, with the new Star Trek movie coming out, how about a Starship design competition, since the one in the movie is a disappointment for many.

#331

what about legos, you can make anything you want with they, could be interesting, and everybody loves legos!

#332

Hi Gang,

How about Monks as a modeling topic. Fiction or non fiction from past present or future.

(1) Cartoon from current affairs.
(2) Simulation of happenings (Cycle Of Baby Birth, Before/After Accidents, even it may be normal life styles)
(3) Caricature of celeberaties.
(4) New Ideas (sur realism, creatings character models with profile of text/words/sentence)

Frank Frazetta

#336

how about modeling food. burgers, fries, fried chicken, pasta, pan cakes, salads, ice creams, cakes etc…hmmmm

id personally go with FriED Chicken With some Haut Sauce and Grape Juice and Watermelon to top it off

#337

I think that we should have an alternance of hard surface modelling / organic modelling or at least a topic that will involve both. We talked a lot in the lighting challenge forum about a Blade Runner challenge…why not modelling something of BR universe ?

and what about a topic chosen from a game ? Resident evil challenge ? Star craft ? Duke nukem :)))

#338

OH yeah, I love the idea of doing our own hardcore, hi detailed versions of star craft characters, or other such games.

#339

Howww about… ultra-realistic versions of really simple cartoon characters (like Samurai Jack, etc.)

Orrrrrr, how about they have to incorporate four unrelated adjectives, such as “spiky, diseased, adorable, flat” into one creation. Let 'em sweat.

If you want something diabolically difficult, have them model a 3d self-portrait, then have their mothers judge the quality. They’ll never win.

I look forward to seeing what comes out of these in the future!

What about the characters of JRR Tolkien… that would consist of Lord of the rings and fantasy creatures in his other books
