ZZZzzzz…
Hehe, thanks Roberto, but sometimes you pass your own deadline when waiting to draw things because something in real life catches up. Yesterday I was swamped with very, very boring things to do that prevented me from taking part in the Nostalgia thread or the Avatar Wars. sigh Such is life
Topic suggestions for today:
Heart of Ice
Treasure Hunters
Portal
I’ve noticed that adjective topics tend to do particularly well, so:
Soft
Hard
Spiky
Rough
Sweet
Tidy
Messy
Depressed
Optimistic
Flora
Fauna
Confused
Pleased
Groovy
OR: How about a ‘topic week’ with the topic being… decades of the 20thC?
20s, 30s, …70s, 80s, 90s?
Lady of the Origami garden
Sunday Morning
Evolution [Humans]

Collector of souls
Spiritual medium
Involution
Tormented spirits
I suggest you make the time limits a little longer-10 and 15 mins are just too short. Maybe if you make the shortest time 30 mins, that would be better?
If you can’t make it to 30, just submit the time you DID do it in. Most people go over the time anyway. Plus, if you make the time a bit longer, we’ll have better stuff in here and people will have time to really develop their work a bit more.
FAMOUS AND INFAMOUS INCIDENTS:
oh, Luther, …so, while we’re at it
“I have a dream”
Woodstock
Fall of Berlin Wall
Titanic
Man landing on the moon
And now, the twisted versions:
and a few simplicity ones:
scratch
mark
tool
disgust
release
enlightenment
eternity
infinite impropability drive
“What really happened Nov 22, 1963”
“I saw him do it”
“Please don’t!”
“I am hearing these voices”
“OMG, are these yours?”
“I was there, dude, I saw 'em!”
few characters:
Olaf the Viking Apache
the female Dwarf - a study
The Emo-Borg kid
Lt. Crusher in his Punk years
The sensitive roadie
Gentleman under equatorial sun
deader than elvis
add another character to famous character groups:
the fifth golden girl
Starsky & Hutch & Wilkins, the accountance
Holmes, Watson & Sörensen, the sailor
caricatures:
the Bush family as the Waltons
Phew, that’s it…

why bumble-bees can fly
why the landlord never rings
why only one sock survived
why I missed the train tonight
why the torture never stops
What Einstein never knew
what ants dream of
what hides in the center of the galaxy
what hides in the cubicle next to you
what the ****?
“at long last”
“out of the blue”
“into nothingness”
“at the opera”
“for the nightingales”
“Love not me”
and finally, sketch something visualizing the following sonnet by Samuel Daniel:
Care-charmer Sleep, son of the sable Night,
Brother to death, in silent darkness born:
Relieve my languish, and restore the light,
With dark forgetting of my cares’ return
And let the day be time enough to mourn,
The shipwrack of my ill-adventur’d youth:
Let waking eyes suffice to wail their scorn,
Without the torment of the night’s untruth.
Cease Dreams, th’imagery of our day desires,
To model forth the passions of the morrow:
Never let the rising Sun approve you liars,
To add more grief to aggravate my sorrow.
Still let me sleep, embracing clouds in vain;
And never wake, to feel the day’s disdain.
Draw a conclusion to “The Shortest Science-Fiction/Horror Story Ever Written” :
“The last man on earth sat alone in a room. There was a knock at the door.”
