And an idea for a new type of daily sketch thing: Illustration. You paint a picture inspired by whatever the topic is, and then write a short story to go along with it. Say the topic is “Broken Hearts”, then each person would paint a picture like usual, but then have to write a short story to go along with it. Just an idea though. :slight_smile:

I must admit, I’m confused as all hell when I come to the sketch of the day/week forum. I honestly don’t understand what it is or how it works. Where the skecthes come from, obviously artists, but are they posting in a specific forum, thread or do you just pull them from any part of the CG talk website?? Not to insight flames here but it just seems like a mess with no information. I think you could clean the thread up a bit and add some info for people who come here for the first time, so that they understand what’s going on.

In this topic people chare their ideas for a so called topic or subject that people will later draw. Every day Roberto (forum moderator) picks one of them (or he’s own idea) and make’s a new thread with that subject it in the CGTalk Daily Sketch Forum. This will be the topic of what the artist’s will draw. Voting happens 7 days after every full weak. Basically there’s one weak with sketches before one can vote for the sketches that were before that weak. Hope I made myself clear. :confused:

While we wait for the movie to come to us, I would suggest this title.

Thanks Lystmaler. Sorry I don’t mean to tell people how to run this thread, especially since I’ve never participated. You’ve obviously got a system that works. It’s just that it’s can be confusing for people coming here for the first time.

One suggestion, a sticky thread with the rules and info at the very top of the Daily Sketch section may be a good idea.

At the moment you’ve got the Comix Strip Thread, but I don’t understand how that relates to sketch of the day. I did eventually find the rules in the footer of Rob’s post, easy to miss becuase it looks like part of a giant signature, if you get what I mean.

Anyway I realise now that this is the wrong type of suggestion for the suggestion thread.

It might be the wrong place, but it’s allso the best place I think.
Roberto will have to take this ting futhurer, but I must say that you got some points.

The comic thead got the same concept as the Daily Sketch Group, but you got 1 month to make you’r “Sketch” instead of one day or week, so that’s what it does here.
