The most popular art thread I ever had at my own forums (which lured the wonderful Craig Mullins in, no less, gosh I still keep the portraits he did of me in a safe corner of my hard drive <3 ) was called Portrait-Picture.

What we did was let everyone who wanted to post photos of themselves, and anyone who wanted to, could join in and paint a portrait, referencing the photos in the thread. It was awesome. I would just love to see what this crowd could do with it. I’m just not sure if it’s a one-day topic, but I’m going to have to suggest it anyway, one way or the other.

So,

Portrait-Picture thread. If anyone else would be into it.

Contrast: Not only colors and tones, but composition. For example, put something scary in a beautiful sunny environment or turn a depressing environment to happy picture.

If i were you I’d print and frame those paintings and back them up on a few CD’s…

but anyway, id like to make a 3rd vote for her idea. But do we all use one pic of one group member? or do we all post pics and just pic one? Id vote for the first. I’d like to see everyones portrait style of the same reference.
