Okay… lets rate the best commerical and non-commerical plugins for Lightwave’s Modeler.
What are the best tool not included, that helps you model
(a) organic (b) hard surface objects?
List and tell why?

cool idea
so for me its :
FI`s Wrinkle and Merge Trigons X and Qemloss 3
I am pretty sure you can do all these things natively in Modeller i just never got round to learning how !!
cheers
LWCAD, the profile tool should be a standard LW tool by now, creating splines and randomly trying to get rail extrudes to work lost it’s charm years ago. The various snapping options, easy to use curve tools and clever fence tool have saved me hours of work but being able to interactively “thicken” a spline with the profiler is by far my favourite tool in Lightwave.
I’ve just downloaded the PLG UV plugins, I haven’t used them yet but they look set to be my next favourite.
Some commercial, some free - all critical to fill holes in modeller IMHO
LWCAD
C-Worm
Align To Rail
Stretch Point
Edgeslide
Truefillet
Bevel++
Plus of course, you can add to that pretty much any of the Pictrix plugins.
I mean, come on, still having to manually align for rail extrude? Puhleese!
I have to say Smart-Save (both Modeler and Layout). Saves increments into a subfolder and adds the date and time to the filename. So, essentially you save the same object all the time, but each time a copy is copied into the subfolder. With an additional cfg-file, Smart-Save can also append a suffix to the filename (in the subfolder) with, i.e the users initials, so each increment can be tracked to whoever saved it if there are multiple users.
The exact same thing works with Layout (S-Save Scene, S-Save All Objects, S-Save Selected Object).
That sounds extremely useful for a studio, especially the suffix part for different users.

Having recently moved to C4d for work purposes I can say that the plugins I most miss are sp-move and sp-roll, they made my life so much simpler…that and pretty much all of LWCAD.
