Tools not working

I have installed Mudbox 2011 on my PC running Windows 7. On the first day I used it, everything was working as per normal. Today I opened it up and none of the tools are working.

i.e none of the sculpt tools or the paint tools.

I tried all the tools on a simple cube and it does not alter anything. I have restated the computer several time to no avail.

What can this be caused by?

maybe you messed up the settings…
try to delete the mudbox settings folder in myDocuments…
