Time to move on, and back

#1

Looks like the forum is down to a trickle now. Too bad, I really liked it when it was going strong. I can’t say I’m surprised though. I’m getting back on the A:M list, for better or worse, at least it’s active. Maybe we need another good barn burning to get the forum cranked up.

Cheers, Graham

I lurk here dailey. Been too busy trying to find a regular paycheck to do any real work with A:M lately though. I think the forums will pick back up again - or at least stay regular.

We’re just lacking in topics to motivate people right now

maybe we’re all too busy using AM?

I sure hope so, then we can have more traffic once were all done?

:applause:

that would be good!

I just don’t have anything that’s all that important to say :(. But I also lurk.

Figures. I’m back on the list talking about camera mapping, and someone mentions Canoma. I want to reply to the list why I preffer A:M, but promised Steve I’d follow the rules, meaning not mentioning other apps. :thumbsdow

Maybe I’ll forget my promise after awhile.

yes I’m too back on the list but I like the forum much more.
I hope we can find a way to take the people back.

Whats Canoma and why didnt you write back saying why you prefer AM? What is it about camera mapping you were asking?

#8

Canoma is a defunct software that maps still images onto goemetry to make 2.5D models, usualy of buildings. I wrote back to the individual with my thoughts on Canoma and Imagemodeler, a similar and current app. The problem was that I had just promised Steve, the A:M list gate keeper, that I would follow the rules, and one of the rules of the A:M list is not to talk about other apps. This of course is whacky, but Hash makes the rules. I found it ironic that on my first day back on the list, I run into a rule I don’t agree with. That’s all.

Don’t forget the main list used to get slow around holiday breaks, some of us have been away and stuff.

I’m not particularly here to trash AM so “barn-burning” isn’t what I want. If however I have an issue with AM, I’d like to raise it and as long as the list works as it does, I will remain here.
