This is meant to be tongue in cheek.

A straight up and down pose is quite boring, and yours is also ever so slightly crouched which makes him seem depressed to me.

In the second image I’ve tried to straighten his back and puff out his chest to give him an air of ‘arrogance of the invincible’.

Where the rendering is finished, it’s quite good. I especially like the metal and cloth.

Your proportions are off. You need to study the general proportions of human beings, and then learn about how much you can deviate from that standard before your figures start to look wrong. While artists do stylize, there’s an art to how you do it, and if you know how to stylize properly, you’ll be able to exaggerate without making your figures look wrong. But if you don’t know how to do it properly, as soon as you deviate from standard proportions, the figure will simply look awkward.

I admit there is lacking of proportions on the arm with the axe, , it looks bigger than the arm holding the hammer. I modified the left arm and added some detail for the torso. The overall proportion maybe subject to change. The cape on the shoulder part, I’m still confuse about it, looks thick on his traps.

I’m always studying the natural human body and also the nature itself and creatures, animals… maybe if I could use a model, or If I could do a 3D model of it… I could rotate or change the positions of the arm and legs… but for now, this is all I can do…
