Hi rmontagnoli, I can’t seem to see your image. You might want to check your link.

How about now?

Yes, I can see it now!

I love that this image tells a story. The dragon is particularly nice, especially the head and arm. I’m having problems figuring out the anatomy of its lower half, but it still looks sketchy there, so I’m assuming that’s a to-do.

I am having difficulty discerning what exactly is on fire in the background. Trees? A castle? The mountain itself? I think I see dragons back there, but they’re very faint and sketchy.

Lighting is inconsistent, as are weather conditions. The day looks bright, but there is a ton of mist. I think you’ve got to decide one way or another. Is the day bright, or is it cloudy enough that the mist hasn’t burned off at all?

There’s a very dark shadow below the dragon. I’m thinking bright light from above, slightly to the right. The man has a bright light coming from the upper left, but he doesn’t cast a strong shadow. It makes him look like he isn’t a part of the scene. Lighting on the mountains also appears to be coming from the upper left.

Kudos on the smoke, by the way. It’s got that thick, almost dappled quality, and it fades nicely into the sky.

Hope this helps!

Don’t use black to create shadows. Shadows have colors, depending on the environment, color of the light source(s), colors of the surrounding surfaces, etc. For example, in your scene, the sky is blue, and the blue of the sky will bounce from the sky dome onto the shadow area and color it blue.
