So I’m looking for a way to inherit object motion to accurately “stick” particles to geo. Surface follow is total slow garbage. What I’d like to be able to do is grab the position difference from one iteration to the next, and add that to the particle position.
I used a memory node to store the closest point on geo with a depth of 1. ( 0 and 1). subtracted the old from the new, and added that to the position of the particle. It “kinda” works, but they don’t truly stick. They still slide. I think I’m close to finding a solution, but I’m hoping someone can give me the proper kick in the right direction…
