Welcome to the all new Unofficial Wing3d Modelling Challenge

This should be an interesting way to get motivated to do something a little different and flex your modelling muscles! The purpose of this challenge is to have a little fun and to further your skills…

• overview
Your assignment should you wish to accept it:
Every week or so a new challenge will be posted. The participants model and post their entries on the subject matter chosen by the winner of the previous round. Challenges will at first be speedmodelling sessions of roughly an hour, judging is open to any forum member.

• how to enter
When the challange thread is posted, simply grab your copy of wings3d, model up your entry and post in reply to that thread according to the topic rules.

• deliverables
This being a wings3d only challenge, viewport wireframes are mandatory. At this point in time entrants are not required to render out their model as votes will be awarded to viewport wires only.

• prizes
Fame, fortune and glittering careers aside, the winner will be awarded the prestigious task of choosing the topic for the next challenge - winners announced a day or so after all votes are in. Voting will commence via a seperate forum thread.

• misc

  • Images may be hosted for free via sites such as imageshack or imagevenue
  • Add your comments and suggestions by replying to this thread.

1.) Lack of Wings3D users.
2.) Those that do use Wings3D are either too busy or are casual users.

I agree - I think it is a numbers thing.
For the next one maybe we’ll maybe have a longer deadline of a week or so…

I dont think people check this forum all that often. The more prep time you can give the better as I dont think youre going to get many participants if people only have a couple of days notice.

So what is the challenge. I think it needs to be a reguar thing and go longer monthly give everyone time to make something. Don’t start a thread about a challenge with no challenge. If it becomes a regular thing find soemone that can post stickes and amek it official make it at certain times etc. Anyways at rederosity the challenge is make a cartoon villian. It is a crappy poser site but it has a regualrly scheduled monthly chalenge.
