The Sideshow- character - the_hand

Whoa. Very very nice indeed. Keep an eye on the transition from pectoral to deltoid; it looks like there’s a gap under the arm at the front there.

Impressive stuff.

Texturing have started as well as the breaking of symmetry. Haven’t been working on it much the last couple of days.

Lordrych- yes, there’s gonna be some big heavy chains on this guy. As for the hair, I hope there’s enough time to do it.

sasquatch- yep, I know there’s some problem there, will have to fix it, thanks.

#23

Very impressive. Is this the previously unknown, long-lost brother of Mike Tyson?

Really great. Respect!

#24

JamesMK- this guy would eat Tyson for beakfast:p

#25

Really great model, but dont you find weird the size of the pect compare to the size of the shoulder. I show your image to some of my friend and they say the same thing.

When I look at your charactere something bug me and I thing its that.

Sorry for my bad english.

#26

Nice work, good model. But it just seems like it does not belong in a freak show,it’s more of a troll type fantasy creature i think.:hmm: Still good work.Head looks best.

#27

Good luck with this one hand though I don’t think you’ll need it. Your entries are always some of the best.

It looks great so far though I think his pectorals could be a bit larger and maybe his ankles could do with some more definition.

I love the idea of chains, I think they’ll help give him a sort of king kong meets the elephant man feel. Maybe try really deforming the face, give him one big ear and one shrunk or something.

Good work, keep going.

:wip:

Pikmin- I’ve to admit the chest is rather small compared to the shoulders and I have tweaked them a bit, but overall size is still one of freakish proportions where you can see the shoulder is about the size of the head and the hands are bigger than the head. It wouldn’t be a circus freak if the proportions were all accurate.

Karlstok- it does look trollish in appearance but if you have somebody born looking like a troll, most people would probably call it a freak anyway:)

Ionized- thanks, I am leaving the chains last. Once the leg irons get strapped on, you would even see the ankles.

#29

Nice work

#30

Nasty! One thing though… eh… with this very impressive mass he’s throwing around… um… you’d expect him to be, well, hung like a bear too. Doesn’t look like it now…

#31

JamesMK- actually there’s a pretty hefty bulge there, just not too obvious from the front and under the present lighting condition

Wow! I wanted to comment on this characters face closeup. I can actually see pain in this guys eyes.

Great work!

#34

great work the_hand, really looks like he’s busting outta his flesh, solid looking muscles. I only reckon you should change the colour of his finger and toe nails, silly but you know it makes me feel better. :applause:

#35

Made some very subtle changes.

#36

Love the bloodshot eyes, and the other really looks like it’s got a cataract or something.

Only comment would be the scarring on the arms doesn’t look quite right. Scar tissue looks lighter on white skin and darker on black skin. Might want to keep that in mind.

Also, you might want to carry the hair on the calves down to the feet. It seems to stop at the chains right now.

Looking good, can’t wait to see it posed!!:applause:

#37

Starting work on the morph targets.

Ionized- I know the scars are not quite right yet. Personally I am still not very happy with them. Probably go back to rework them again.

Good eye- the hair on the legs does stop at the chains, but I think most people don’t have hair on their feet anyway even if he’s not like most people:)

#38

Simple rigging test.

#39

Drool, give him drool!!

What software are you using btw?

Very nice work hand.I quess a Strongman “Freak” almost hairless Gorilla?..Many would be around his booth at the Freak show i am quessing.Hope the iron bars are strong enough to keep him in his cage.

        ;)

I do think you should still give some extra wispy hair that continues from the main patches.Just a small gradual light amount that tapers away from the main patches. It is all too much of a cutoff now,it causes the eye to notice this all too much, instead of the actual muscled model.

Well you certantly have a contender here within this challenge,a very nice job.
