reposting from other thread

roberto a few posts back i raised the possibility of some more creative types of entries being allowed…

such as:
a pistol packing goldfish
gangster walrus
underwater kart racing jellyfish

are those kind of entries kosher? or a we strictly looking at realistic animals here? i think it’d be fun to have a few entries like that

EDIT: nevermind…i must have missed the mention of ‘humourous’ entries on the challenge page…silly me…i’m in…

I remember this being an aspect of the debate that started up during the last challenge but I just wanted to get it cleared up. The rules say that WIP is not encouraged, however the challenges I’ve participated in the past said just the opposite. I always assumed that a big part of these challenges was to post progress and be very open with your workflow so you can learn from others and others can learn from you.

So is this a typo, am I understanding this wrong, or what? Roberto, could you just clarify this statement: “Because of the HUGE number of files WIP are NOT encouraged, only final entries”

My assumption is that this is only in relation to final posts, but it seems a bit unclear.

Got a question. Since the theme of the challenge is ‘‘THE OCEANS’’, does it mean we are restricted to creatures living only in oceans, or can we do some aquatic creatures that lives in freshwaters, like on rivers and shores? I am saying this because I am thinking of doing a pirhanna, which lives in South American rivers.
