Hey guys this is a video I made of the vehicle I have in mind for this kind of race.
The race would be performed on specially made stadiums.
The rules for this kind of racing procedures wil be the same as Formula ONE, but the strnage shape of the car allows for more steep curves.

To see a bit of the vehicle in action go to this link:

More artwork will be coming…

Looking forward to your comments.

#4

This device is good enough
but i think that there is something which does not suffice in it

#5

Cool no Problem

What would you change?

#6

Мне кажется, что не хватает элементов: ротор… закрылки… баланс.
мелких деталей.

#7

huh?What did you say?

#8

It seems to me, that there are no elements: a rotor… Flaps… Balance.
the small details.
sorry for my english

#9

No problem…

Well guys, I do want to do a next gen racing challenge.

Any ideas?

I would like to stay focused on 4th elements (fire, water, earth and air), because that’s what effects are in most cases (at least in my opinion).
Racing with hi new tech vehicles are maybe too hard for most of us, so only few can contribute. I don’t know, maybe I am wrong, but anyway I would like challenge to be something more simpler (fire element monster, or lightning strike, or laser richoshet…)

One more example… “Air strike” could be good challenge.

#11

air strike sounds like a good idea…

#12

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I love the idea of a race. :bounce: I am so excited I already have a design in my head!

I often look to these guys for inspiration!

I do understand what d4rk3lf is saying, and airstrike does sound cool… However, I feel that the challenges need to be a little bit difficult in order for us to improve our skills. Before fxwars, I didnt have any Idea how to pull off some of the animations and effects I have done. I have seen many participate in car crash, and flying car so I think this forum is capable of bringing some really impressive stuff to the table. If it is simple is it still a challenge?

#13

Yes, Monowheel formula one with regulations and all (I am kinda partial to open cockpit). Lots of good references as well.

#14

There is also speed racer movie for inspiration which has various tracks and land in movie for race… It can be indeed fun challange.

#15

While it is an interesting twist to the monobike design, I think it would only be plausible if the “cockpit” is of a lighter mass compared to the wheel assembly, otherwise the vehicle will just topple over the opposite side when it makes a turn, or slide out of the turn (something to do with leaning over to balance against the centrifugal force in a turn).

Therefore I agree with the preference that the cockpit to be an open seat with handles only, and the rims to be more massive and static to the base of the seat (only the tyre spins, not the rim).

OR, we could just chuch physics out the window and go the Speed Racer route :stuck_out_tongue:

Here are some cool clips guys:

Sounds awesome. I say we don’t have any rules about the physical plausibility of the car design; a good percentage of FXWars stuff is physically implausible anyway. These cars (if they can be called that) look like great fun to model, and then having them battle it out in an arena would just add to the fun.

Good idea, Roberto.

Cheers and God bless.

#18

so the idea is everybody uses this model is some made up race scene…yes?

I know probably obvious question…but I’ve never done one of these

When does it start and when does it end??

#19

Yes you can use that model, or you can create your own.

#20

So…when is this set to start???
Trying to block out my schedule, and I actually have some time.
