This is a project I did in collaboration with Thomas Liera.

It represents a miner superhero to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the tragedy of Marcinelle mine in Belgium.

Therefore there will be an exhibition of fine art and sketches:
“The Coal of Imagination”
8th august 2016 at the Bois Du Cazier,Marcinelle(Belgium).

Sculpted in Zbrush, rendered with Keyshot, composition in photoshop.

Really really nice. I’m a newb to 3D so I’m afraid I have no critiques but the work is awesome.

I really like the character design and his expression. Allthough I kind of see his eyes area much darker than the rest of the face and sometimes I see that miners use to have glasses to protect their eyes so when they take the glasses off they use to be cleaner than the rest of the face, covered with dust. That same goes for the overall cloth, another extra layer of weathering, dirt I think that would take the image a step further.
