The Millennium Falcon

Hello everyone,

I’m building a CG replica of the ESB 32" Millennium Falcon model. I’m trying to as accurate as possible.

no egdge roundings and such yet. I don’t know how large the polycount will be at the end and my PC can’t handle it anymore :slight_smile:

Awesome details man! Great to see a fellow fan!

What are your reference? a Bandai plastic model or just the movie?

thank for the kind words.

I’m using photos from the original model as references. A good friend of mine sends me a lot of kitparts which were used for the model so I can make 3D replicas of that parts.

I just bought the Star Wars book: Sculpting a Galaxy

It’s a book to display all the maquettes/models the use for the films. It’s perfect for the texture and level of details you want. I will try to scan them and put it on my website. That should help you

Wow! you’ve certainly an eye for accurately capturing all that detail, very well done indeed. So I’ll definitely bookmark this thread checking on progress. Also BTW out of interest if you don’t mind me asking, what’s the completed model’s polycount?
