the guys on the handling lines look like they are pulling with all their weight yet the lines are slack.

#23

i loved you space opera thread … and i really love this one!

#24

oh, I love that picture, and the napoleon 3 style!.. something also of Jules vernes!.. very very well!.. je perçois pas vraiment les problemes de cohérence de lumiere dans cette image… la tour effel est juste la, d’accord, pas utile, peut etre, mais tout marche trés bien ensemble; non, c’est vraiment bien!..

Great work, excellent job on the modeling!

Your flying machine reminds me about “Siberia” - some nice game :slight_smile:

XLNT 3d -> you can imagine the real weight of a real metallic wire of this size… I think a man can’t really do straight line… and the aspect was more sweet like that…

grundgedanke ->:bowdown:

:slight_smile:

esper77 -> Thanks :thumbsup:

ktamiola -> Thank you… it’s a great honor for me you compare my pictures with this quality game !

geneticlone -> :beer:

AHMED-3D -> Thank you guy :blush:

Dimitris -> I don’t have a large place on my ftp… I send you PM soon :drool:

M@lonet -> Merci gars :cool:

A wonderful image with great modeling detail and textures and a grand landing and presentation. Great job!

Ultimately, your vision is what counts. Yes it is an awesome render and concept. I actually rated it 5 starts. I would have given it 6 if the lines were tight.

However, “real metallic wire” is known as “aircraft cable”. You do handle it with gloves and you can pull it tight. I was a student pilot with hotair balloons and a crew chief for several years. We used several different guages of these cables for tethers and other circumstances. I have used them with commercial blimps as well. They can only be so heavy if the craft is meant to fly or stay aloft. I know…blah blah blah. Where was that post on how “Polite ways to eject from a conversation?”? Sorry.

Any way, it is an awesome piece.
