The Journey Begins Challenge (3D) Entry: laurent antoine lemog
Great modeling, nice… sorry, very nice texturing, can’t you make something really ugly once, so I can say something else ?
Bravo Lolo, I really like the mood more and more
OMG OMG OMG…how many times can I say OMG?! you are just nutty with detail, and it’s brilliant. congrats Lemog. respect!
hahaha Thanks Jeroen ![]()
Nothing is really fixed about the mood for the moment…
…just I mean to be near of the concetp sketch… more festive of course…
Hahaha… I can say Thanks
… but I don’t know exactly what mean OMG… hahaha
Hey Laurent!
Wheee:eek: ! I thought I get slowly used to this candy colors…but this is…very, very…colorful:twisted: …
Are you really sure about your references, I wouldn’t trust these colorized illustrations. Whenever I do an internet search for references, I come finally to your site:D …so I better trust in your inspiration, but just from the feeling, I would choose something less saturated and bright…
Well, I’ll better wait to see it all together, with the perfect illumination…
btw: OMG is “Oh my God” or “Oh my Goodness” :wise:

I have 3 kind of color drawings about this gate… and especially one display in the issue of 1900 named “L’Illustration”… usually, this publication is a real reference even if I’m sure that the artist take some freedom concerning several details… but I must take a choice at the final… and of course, I’m not sure at 100%… so far…
But I think with the night lighting, this hard contrast will be less visible… that will be certainly better for our eyes…
…and thanks for the OMG explanation… I have always much to learn about this strange language
hahaha ![]()
Une seconde nature, koi…
hahaha
I have never seen such a beautiful gate  I think I fell in love
and here is todays keep going  hahahaha I think u wont have ur day if I didn`t say that lol
Hey Lemog, a 48 pages man wthit (What the hell is that) but realy the work deserves this, the archetecture style reminds me of the old islamic archetecture (please if you realy have time i recommend you visit a site or something about it will inspire you for sure).![]()
The building looks great. What resolution did you use for your textures? Can you show me an UV mapping?
Thanx!
Good luck!

sorry about the confusion…in future it means ‘Oh My Gomel’ (your name spelt backwards)
…well, you’re a bit godlike in the 3d world!..and in the world of obsessive detail!!
Hahahaha… thanks
You’re right… now, I think it’s very important for my own feeling of the day… thanks my friend…
You’re right about inspiration… there’s some kind of old islamic architecture for this french architect, Mr Binet…
I’m trying to used much tiling textures, when I can… but for the big important textures of this gate, that can be large as 2400 or 3600 pixels.
Thanks Lolo… haha… my dream… to be a real Jedi
héhé of course… it’s always the 3dtextures power… these textures on my website are useful for me too you know ![]()
Indian ? strange idea mate…

Hahaha very good… “Oh My Gomel”… well finded :wise: ![]()
