Morning all my friends… and again, much thanks for your presence here on this thread to support me and my work… impressive of pleasure for me… :bounce:
Hahaha… after GP’s… after Mites… Ants ? why not
![]()
yep… finally, I’m really satisfied to start this gate… even if in first, I didn’t have much motivation for it… because of course that wasn’t the most interesting thing in this expo…
TY Antone…
hmmm… I will see certainly during the texturing, if I keep a map or if I modelize these details…
You’re so kind Gunie… but I really don’t know if I can keep like that… to see then…
Hahaha… this time, not enough for sure
huhu… maybe it will be better to see the result before to say that girl… anyway, thanks for your words… really apprecied at this moment.
Of course mate… that prepare UVs for the texturing step
Thanks for your words and wishes Eric ![]()
Hahaha Sabie… don’t speak about “time”… this word is now banned
Grazie Andrea
What software u used for the bumps?Zbrush?
So far this project is one of my favourites,so keep going…
Nice lolo,
you work, you work, and you never stops!
it’s very splendid ! :applause:
c’est vraiment très beau, je reste admiratif (ou sur le cul :argh:) devant tes réalisations !
bonne continuation.
ps: je vais enfin pouvoir commencer moi…:banghead:
Thanks Corrie :bounce:
Simple… only Photoshop and Maya bump…
Oooh… always stopped… but always the envy to work…

Hahahaha… we’re all waiting for that my friend :wise: GO GO GO :bounce:
mmmh. I’m very late this morning… I don’t post my morning update for the moment…
wow, like everybody I really like the bump on the last render .
But I don’t understand how you can have these kind of effect so far
far from the camera … is it bump mapping or displace mapping (or perhaps
normal mapping ?!) ?
And with all of this, you’ve got the time to go to the night club
… et béh … !
Just simple bump mapping…
And with all of this, you’ve got the time to go to the night club
… et béh … !
Hahaha… also queen of the night
hahahaha
Madshooter -> thanks Roshan ![]()
Wow! Really love the detail that’s going in there. Great sense of scale. I realy hope the bump detail will show through in the final comp. Have you considered adding displacement instead?
Great job nonetheless! ![]()
The beginning of the main part of the Monumental Gate… remain much work, but at this step that can give a good idea…
…maybe the circular part seem not to have enough iteration… but I must take care with polys number, and I mean with the other details missed that will be good… we will see then…
The thing at the top is the front part of a boat, with a woman below…
This boat was named “lutece boat”… “lutece” is the antic name of Paris.
That will be finally very little and a bit far… conjointely with the real map… that will be sufficient I mean… I don’t think displacement is this case must be usefull… just adding render time than quality of viewing… of course, if I keep the planed framing… if not, all is possible… thanks for your comments Jesus ![]()
Woohoo! Latest image is even better than last.
About the iterations. At this distance it is noticeable. I suggest raising the iterations only if you plan on having the gateway this close to the camera. If not, keep it that way.
Btw, I am also working on some architectural modeling right now for my challenge. Pretty new to it…maybe you can help. Do you only model with quads? Or, do you use triangles and n-gons, too? I usually stick with quads when modeling characters and such but I am finding it very difficult when modeling architecture. Any suggestions?
Keep it up.
wow!!! talking about detailed mesh. I like the detail especially the fence. Nice concept!!! great job!!!
cheers!!!
