yes except that it would have to be in wide screen format 16:9 (wide:tall) or else it will not fit on the screen. You can always seperate your extra details into a page two. Has anyone here seen the collectors directors cut FH: Dune (the new one). This is what I am aiming at for the way its put together. At least in a rough form.

yeah i know … 16:9… but i don`t know… hm… i havve idea for this like i am watching… after movie … LOTR for i.e manny dialogs… “bla bla bla” … one guy tallking then other … then showing sketches… + final images… but that is just suggestion… :slight_smile:

Hi, i’ve made a little Making Of, but i don’t understand something… how many time can be the video? I’ve made a video, but it’s too long. Your (excellent:thumbsup: ) song is 6minutes long… but my video is 2minutes long!! :cry:

It can be cut, but anyway, with the layer, it take too many time…
Perhaps i don’t understand something… my english is so bad…:sad:

Ok, SuperXCM that is perfect. I will use that in your WIP section for sure. I will have to change the music tho since that music is copyrighted. Great work. I only wish others could produce something like this for the video! As far as the music video goes, I was planning on using many short animated clips of the scene, so for instance a few of your ships flying into a formation, or getting ready to fire or something like that! Taking off, blowing up etc… The more little clips I have to composite the better. Try to keep all “for the music video” animations shorter than 30 seconds each or at least about 30 seconds. Basically if you have ever seen a “Minds Eye” video, gate to, behind, the. This is what I am going for. Well done and keep them coming!

Ok i begin to understand… :wip:
if you want 'im doing an animation in my scene, it begin near the center(connection) and the camera follow the plant to go back at the position of the final image. with some ship crossing the screen and the robot go out of the screen, but for now i’ve lot of problem with ship render… it’s too much for my computer, i must divide all ship with a different render.
I hope to finish this soon, if it can be used.

This is no problem. Just render all of your images to quicktime with the 32+ bit mode. It adds an alpha channel to the video which I can extract and then recomposite all of your ships together. If you can get them all into the same scene with each other (rendered from the same camera), just hide all the extra ships and then render out a few same length, size movies and I will take care of the rest. Thanks again!

oh yeah and be sure to include for me a report list of which file is the frontmost layer all the way back to the back so when I put it back together all the files stack up correctly.

Kragh, the video is for “ALL” participants, that means you. I will include your W.I.P. gallery and artist bio as well in the artist section if you wish. The finalist area is for the people who finished only, but thats all. All you have to do is finish some animation sequence to go with the video or upload a PSD somewhere that I can download with your layers in it. I can animate Photoshop layers so if you have it seperated in to layers then I can make it move.

elmasfeo, this means 2D entries as well. All are welcomed. I especially hope to have 2D entries because the challenge was both 3D & 2D and the 2D seemed to stay on point better about the theme!

Also I was planning on making an extras area with the funniest things that came out of the challenge like baby’s images, fellah etc… There are alot of humerous images that came out of the challenge and I think they would work well in this area.

Sleepinglion - thanks, I am working on getting the main format laid out as we speak.

nemirc - Great, I will include your images. Anything animated you can do overall for your entry will increase the usuability and coolness of the final production. As far as a bio goes, just a simple A/S/L/Interests/Area of expertise/work credits (think of it as the ultimate group portifolio for everyone. I think that just participating in something like this challenge should bring credibility to your name as an artist!

NEWS of the day - I have landed an column in Florida’s Premiere magazine - Beach Magazine!

I am currently writing an article about the challenge with an introduction to 3D art using W.I.P. images from the challenge. Is anyone interested in being included in this article, I only have room for about 5 thumbnails of final images to show off in the magazine. If you want your entry to be included please let me know, it will be first come first serve! More to come!

PS: I found a solution about the ship problem on my render, i hope to post soon a link with the animation. Is the making of quality is ok? :shrug:
