Hi, this is a second version of the Gates of Hell I made for 3dtotal´s project overview(re-textured)(it is online now at the front page of 3dtotal), I made the image for the 3dluvr contest (got 3rd place) and the original version got full page at ELEMENTAL book, critics and comments are welcomed,

Ive always loved this image. Its amazingly complex and just all around very cool. I realy enjoyed your tutorial on the making of at 3d total. Cool revamp. I still realy like the original. Great work man.


u know it would be amazing if u were to animate all of the those humans climbing on each other, but that would be a crazy amout of work. But anyway great job

as far as I can remember the hires render took about 7 or 8 hours fo finish

Besides the intricate detail, it has very good work on illumination and color scheme. Really scaring and sense of magnificience. It deserves that place in any art book.
