#381

I think it has not been mentioned yet - Max Kor’s tutorial on The Making of The Final Battle is up on CGNetworks. Just thought you’d like to know…

Max - thanks for sharing, and yet another hats off from an admirer. This is an amazing piece of work.

wow!
if this kind of superior skill flourishes, live actors will be in deep trouble.
congrats, great job!
i’m a cg newcomer, and inspirations like this puts me in hyper mode to jumpstart my skill development and come up with something like this.
again, great great job !!!

holy shizzle that’s! absolutely amazing. deceptively simple looking. i hope that you are very well paid. i’ve not read all the replies, but i hope a detailed tutorial is not out of the question. as an avid Max user, it is always nice to see people getting some realistic results from Maya (If I see enough of these I may be convinced to take the Alias dive).
Great work!!!

Wonderful indeed. And best of all, it was done by a fellow Israeli

I wish I will ever be able to make models half as good as this one.

#385

are you kidding me? one sees an area that could be improved…one tells the artist in case he wants to improve his work. What artist in thier right mind would not somebody to tell them ways to improve thier piece…no matter how small? Maybe i’ll post an image and in the description say “C&C welcomed, just don’t tell me the areas that are flawed” what a freakin’ joke. It angers me so much to hear you make a statement like that. You have some major maturing to do in terms of critiquing. geez

and if you did notice those so called “nit picky areas” were commented on by the original artist and had said they were things that he did not notice and was going to work on them. You are entitled to your opinion but just because you don’t have a well trained enough eye to see some of the things doesn’t mean they don’t exsist, so don’t try and lower the validity of other artist critiques just because you can’t see them.

The most realistic cg knight i’ve ever seen! incredible!
congratulation, you are a damn good creator! i give you 5 stars!

#387

Fanstic image! :bounce:

#388

Great work,feeled very really.You have a Godhand!Ahah!

#389

Superb modelling, texturing and lighting.
However, the lack of facial expression bugs me a little. With such an amazing model I’m sure you could have had a wide range of expressions, even very subtle ones. I encourage you to work on this guy’s faces, it would really show off your abilities (in case they’re not clear enough already!)

:applause:

I just joined CGTalk today. This is the most photorealistic piece I’ve seen on any gallery!!!

#391

As an experienced armorer, I must say that the chainmaille is very nice, although it’s wrong. It hangs in the wrong direction, which means that the material won’t stretch and the chainmailleshirt would be impossible to move in correctly. And the rings should have tiny rivets that rivetet the ends of the rings together. Anyway, the rest of the picture is awesome, it’s just me nitpicking ;-D

#392

if i hadnt know it was 3d i would have thought it to be a photo

the only imperfection i see is the hair lines can be too uniform at times and
the skin texture is either to exagerated or something is just striking me as odd

but still the most realistic render i have ever seen

GOOD JOB

#393

!!! Not bad at all! Looks great man. Keep up the work

#394

im sure your getting tired of hearing wonderfull things about your work… but im impressed by the eyes and the skin bump their crazy insaine good… wow… very impressive.

#395

its a good work

#396

:frowning: nice job i like it 2

#397

Absolutely Marvelous!

#398

Yeah, this must be some of the most realistic faces ever. Looks a litte bit rubber (madam toussauds), but how people look varies too much to say that it is wrong.

#399

:scream: :scream: Wowowoweee!

Your work is a great inspiration for us newbies…
Everything is perfect… especially the cracks and the tear ducts,
great texturing…

What camera did you use for this shoot?

I hear good things about the new Nikon.
