I’m astonished looking at this artwork
I hope to see more soon from you
… I’m already looking at the other thread you opened.
The carnivorous sundew fairy
I think the little lady would look much better with less black and some more pinky shades in her… much like the lips on your main character!
Aside from that, it is a great painting and I am much looking forward to seeing it finished!
Keep going, Emile!
really looking awesome there. I do have a suggestion/comment. The main characters face seems alittle too monochromatic. Makes her look like shes dead or a statue. Maybe you could had more touches of the red like at the tip of the tentacle in her cheeks or other areas of her face to add some more life to her face.keep it goin
a beautiful conception.i like the way u paint her face with such textures, those water droplets adds alot to the piece too
keep them coming,i’m looking forward to see this to completion
WOW what a beautiful little world you are creating!
I am really enjoying following this thread. Wonderfully concieved and being executed with a with such a delightful but strong sense of purpose.
Gord
@Icey: Thanks, very nice of you
@se7enthcin: I agree with your professor but in this case it might be used for a large poster print so…
@oblivionblack: Thanks Im not really sure this is going to become a masterpiece but surely learned a lot working on this painting.
@digital_bobert: Thanks for your comment; Im a real admirer of your work
@freestyle771: Yeah, She wasnt finished yet but I must admit that I find it hard to fuse her into this painting
.
@Rebeccak: Thanks for your comment. Like I said I really find it difficult to implement this figure in the painting (trying to stay true to my initial design idea…)
Any suggestions are very much welcome. I hope you like her Anatomy:)
@lauranonce: Thanks. (I wont update the other thread, because Ive stopped working on that picture.)
@HAL9K: Thanks
@paperclip: Hi Theresa, Im working on it but Im having a hard time with this woman: she doesnt do what I want her to…
@Pixelcritter: Hi PC, thanks for your comment: And yes Ive got this planned
@sh@ke : Thanks a lot. Love your paintings
@Gord MacDonald: Thanks you for your very nice comment
Ive been busy with lots of things:
Hair ( not ready yet and the drops are still very much dislocated…
, i’ll fix that in th next update)
Background, not ready yet but I like the color/atmosphere.

Fairy: cant get her to fit nicely into the painting, its getting a little better but it still doesnt feel okay.

The hand of the TCSF looks like horrible (like it belongs to an old movie sea monster) the skin gives an ugly rubbery appearance, I might have to start over
:argh:

Comments are very much appreciated
I’ve been loving this piece right from the start ! Now I find that you are loosing a bit of contrast ? Particularly in the eye area.
I would also suggest that you balance the green color with just some very very slight touches of red here and there : the corners of her eyes, just a little more red in her lips and why not also on her nails ? I find it would balance well with the red thingies in her hair and help the composition.
The little fairy should be more like her color- and contrastwise in my opinion.
But like everybody else, I’m looking forward to the end of this one ! Super piece !
she’s not looking at the fairy and i agree with you on the hands… maybe just tone down the texture a bit, add in some redness? and smooth out a few of the shadows? shrugs as it is i love the picture, i’ve been watching it and what you’re making… it’s very beautiful
Wow, beautiful…:applause:
With respect to the smaller figure, my only suggestion might be that she needs a bit more of a transition from upper > lower torso ~ she seems just a bit truncated, and adding more length to her torso would give the figure a bit more grace. Also, her upper arm / shoulder area is nearly as thick as her waist, which looks a bit odd…you might try slimming that area down just a tad. Just a suggestion, though…great to see this quality of work on the boards!
Cheers,
~Rebeccak
Beautifully disturbing. I would like to see the mouth partially opened -lips parted to show a bit of her teeth. Also, I think it would be nice to have some vibrant blood red in the mouth area. Great image though.
I really like the new shades you’ve introduced into the main character, it really fizzes things up! :envy at such masterful quality of art::deal:
 This is wonderful! Awsome style. I love the textures. I’d like to see a little more variation in the ‘skin’ tones. At the moment it’s just too green. Hmm I know she is apart of nature but I just find the green too much if that makes sense, like it needs something else?
Wonderful work!
2 things
firstly, I still feel her nose looks a bit flat from the lighting, secondly, where is she supposed to be looking?
still a great piece of work though
i love this piece! it’s stunning and really dynamic! i really like the colors and the perfect proportion of both the two faeries…:applause:. i like also the way you’re making the texture, and the expression on the carnivorous faery’s face…oh! i forgot… the little faery seems to be made of gold… i love it!:applause::applause:
@The Photographer: Thanks for your comment, and yeah I already planned something like that but theres sooooooooo much else that has to be done
I want to have all the parts in place. Fairy, hair, water drops insects etc etc. and then add some more color variation. B.t.w. the contrast was influenced by a layer adjustment effect which took over the whole picture .
@tyrful: Thanks, I moved the fairy up and down to get her in place ( but she still gives me trouble L and then TCSF didnt know where to look anymore. About the hand: im going to try something like you said or give her some sundew tentacles
@Rebeccak, Funny i didnt see that until now, youre right.
I used an Olympic divers picture for ref. I was hypnotized by the beautiful curves of her arms and legs, and I love curves

Anyway, thank you very much
@ LDiehl: Thanks for the suggestion and you know what? I already tried that. TCSF looked too sweet so I tried a different mouth(S) but I couldnt get it right it and took soo much time … I gave up ( at least for now:)
@paperclip: Thanks Theresa, glad you like the progress.Hey I see you found a friend with almost my nickname ( for a moment I thought it was m
.
@Andrea Biffi: Thanks a lot I wish i could do some 3d modeling like you
@ enialadam: Thanks , youre right i’m working on it
@ flyingP: Thanks, wait for the new update i think Ive fixed it
@ velvetta: thank you very much Im glad you like the picture so far
Sorry no pic today
Common Emile !
You have to get this finished for submission in the new Ballistics book - I think the deadline is about the 27th February or something like that - I WON’T buy it if you’re not in it !!!
@ThePhotographer: Hey come on I’m not that good !!! I’ve got a color myself rightnow everyone want TCSF to have
But your comment is certainly very encouraging, thank you
