The Board of Directors

#1

Hiyo. These paintings are from an upcoming VR project I’m doing about an office graveyard. It’s pretty strange and all. Here’s some shots of the paintings of the Board of Directors on one of the walls in the enviornment. Each picture is 178 tris (like that’s important on the 2D thread…they should have me shot).

Hope you dig.

Goodness, 73 views ansd no replies?

Maybe a further explanation will help. The intention of these is to kind of resemble those stuffy paintings of past rich, old company CEO’s. From what I’ve seen of them, they’re never smiling and there is always a horrendous overuse of light on em. Was hoping to emulate that look.

Wow! Someone else that thinks like Gahan Wilson, and uses color well, too. My only mumble is that the “picture frames” read flatter than the portraits. Was that your intent?

Very nice! I used to look at his art when I was a kid. Had an illustrated book of Edgar Allen Poe’s works and all. As far as the frames go, I definitely agree, but they are 3D and needed to be very low poly. I made the skin for them prior to making the paintings. Thanks for the great comments!
