the best way to keep watercolor painting

#1

hi everyone, i’ve been into watercolor painting lately but not sure of the best way to keep them, i dont think i want to frame them either at the time being, as i dont have a lot of space in my apartment. Those pre-cut marboard seems reasonably well but the biggest size they have is for 11"X14"
just fyi, Most of the painting are done on 90 or 140 lb cold press watercolor paper. my questions are:

is it ok to stack watercolor painting?

is it ok to keep them inside a portfolio folder, i’m worried of the plastic that touch the painting directly

or perhaps i should mount it on something?

phew, sorry for asking so many questions at once. helps are greatly appreciated

First of all, the paper you use to paint on should be acid-free.

Then, the rest is just common sense–put them in rolled up containers, stack them, whatever, as long as they are protected. You can spray them down with protective spray too, which will help them repel water and scuffing.
