The 2.5 bug thread

Hi
To make it easy for pmG too keep track of the bugs, please post only bugs and bug confirmations.

  1. The new “MORE” shader menu hides one shader each time a new list comes up. Foran example raydistance is missing. (A workaround is to add the node via a + button in the basic properties.)

  2. The Bank Ptch Hdng rings are hidden when in separate edit sphere mode. (When you are in rotation selection of course :smiley: )

Feel free to confirm.

  1. I get extremely slow rendering times when having a spotlight projecting an image sequence. But when I uncheck the ImageSequence button(in ImageManager), it renders as fast as normal!?
    (Not yet Confirmed…)

  2. A crash bug :
    From the Command line, try to write in " I’m " or a quote sign three times like " “”" ".
    This little action makes Messiah crash! (Confirmed!)
    (Other strange combinations also makes Messiah crash)

  3. Another crash bug:
    ->Select the camera view
    ->From the Image Manager load an image from a sequence
    ->Click on Set As Background
    ->Check Activate Background Image
    ->Change the Background Image Scale Percent to something above 100
    ->Check Image Sequence, crash! (Confirmed!)

-The new worldview navigation doesnt apply to the graph editors. I think its important to keep those behaving similarly. In maya the ALT - mouse button scheme carries throughout the entire program. I think modo and xsi got it right by making configuration profiles.

-Apparently the maya plugin doesnt transfer UV information when connecting meshes.

-Maya transformation connection doesnt work with items that are parented to a skeleton.

-There are still issues with item/camera view, if you drag your mouse in rotate mode - You will notice that the view starts to bank inexplicably, making “looking around” or panning impossible. I would expect my interaction in the item camera/object view to behave exactly like the perspective view. with appropriate handles to navigate in movie terms. IE Pan, Zoom, Dolly, Bank etc. The current edit sphere only serves as an obstacle that blocks the view of items i actually want to interact with

-no way to disconnect items from host? Sometimes i want to disconnect a deform and make it a transform, is this possible?
