textures missing on "Character"

#1

Just having a bit of an issue with my textures showing up in MB. Sometimes they show up and sometimes they don’t. I’m wondering if it’s a texture map size thing or maybe a setting in MB or Maya while importing/exporting. I get the “Riddler suit” with a bunch of question marks on some and others it looks like the “emergency broadcast system”(what ever happened to that?) compressed on the body. Any suggestions/links are greatly appreciated…

Are they PSDs? MB doesn’t like PSD texture files. Also, since you don’t render from MB you just transfer back to Maya anyway, I wouldn’t worry too much about the textures. We usually don’t even save them with the file because it just takes up unecessary space. MB doesn’t handle bumps or spec maps, so if your character has those, they’re gone anyway.

What we’re doing here is merging back into the original Maya Character file so we don’t lose all our textures…and as long as the textures show up in Maya, that’s all I’d worry about.

we’re doing the same and I would rather not render out of MB. Its just not made for that, but lets just say some people here are looking for a quicker way to render…without thinking. Aside from that i’m using either .tiff or .jpg formats nothing spectacular…just odd how it works when it wants to. Thanks for the info…
