This is a little animation I made with my “terrordactyl” model. called “Feeding Time”. It’s a little over 6MB
project done in 10.5 alpha. but the models were made and rigged in V10.

Superb modelling, textures and lighting :applause:
I especially like the canyon landscape, did you use any displacements maps?
The animation has some nice touches too, like the effect the rushing air has on the terrordactyl’s wings. I would though, suggest you take a closer look at the actions of large birds like Condors to improve some of your Terrordactyl’s movements in areas like take off.
yep, the animation needs a little work…I found that I was unable to render a shaded-mode preview in V10, some kind of glitch on my system, so I didn’t spend a lot of time refining it.
The background was made in Photoshop, the cliff and nest are simple model.
If you can Will, try and get hold of the Walking with Dinosaurs (including making off) stuff done by Framestore for the BBC, the animation often started with the animators acting out (on London rooftops… where else could you do this stuff?) the movements and you could always use for reference.
Hate to (slightly) disagree with Steven, but condors are maybe a bit too sophisticated? co-ordinated in their movements? Having never seen a real pterodactyl I’m guessing here also. I’ll shut up and go now…

Oh you too! This has been driving me crazy.:bounce: I reported it to Hash a while back but none of the updates since have helped. I don’t think it’s our systems, I get the same problem on both my Mac and PC.
I sent you an e-mail about this ani when you posted it on the list, but I’ll comment here too.
I Like it.
