Terminator 2 Tribute: Styled characters

Hi Guys,

I know, I throw a lot of threats here without finishing, but at less I keep updating with time.

This is what I am, many projects so I don’t get bored.

Here’s my new project: a Terminator 2 tribute.

I want to go CG animated style. I start Arnold of course. Don’t want him to be to much cartoonish, but still want him to look like him you know.

Tell me what you think?

WIP 03 : Without Glasses. Try to get the all face, since I may use it for Dutch or Conan character.

More attention to the nose.
I think it must be more narrow.

I did two more WIP , but you use my first one… you using an old wip to comment but I already try to correct it in the others versions. Need to know if my last nose is good, seems good to me.

Oh … my bad.
But there is still a problem. Look at his nose from side. Try to catch the shape

/maybe you have better side view…

WIP 05 :

[/li][li]I still try to get a good overall proportion.

[/li][li]I adjust the scale too match his real height (6’1", based on me, I don’t believe he is 6’2").

I think the face still needs work. Even though it’s a cartoon, a good cartoon usually takes prominent features of the face and exaggerates them a bit. In Arnie’s case, he has a very distinctive chin, small eyes, and distinctive lips so try to pay attention to those in particular.

Right now, this is recognisable as the Terminator, but I think you could do a much nicer job of it with a bit more effort.

If you look, for example, at this cartoon of Arnie, you can see what I mean:

Notice how the artist has exaggerated the forehead, eyes, lips and chin.

Thanks Leigh, I will try to get some caricature in it. Even if I don’t really want to get this far in the style. This want to be close to Franco-belge BD or Comics.

But yah I need some exaggerated shapes
