Tell him about the twinkie WIP

#1

Hey guys,

I’ve been working on this for about a month now, and I really want to finish it up so I can move on to my next project. I think it’s almost done. The only things that are bugging me about it are some issues with the lip sync and Moom’s arms when he standing still (the character in the foreground). I don’t like the arms being that stiff and unmoving, but I’m not sure what I can do about it. Thanks guys.

The only thing that keeps catching my eye is how the the body of the most forefront character is almost replica to how he is when he is turned around facing the character leaning. Maybe do something with the arm/hand pose when he turns around so he is not staying there with his arms down. And also maybe make the background character do something, not just stop moving.

I was watching the first blocking stage all the way up to this recent one. It’s coming along well man, just keep at it.

I’ve made the front character place his hands on his hips when talking. Next I’ll be working on the background character so that he isn’t frozen throughout the scene.

Also, could anyone tell me how to embed videos on these forums.

To embed a vimeo video, just type (vimeo)12345(/vimeo)

But instead of the round brackets, use the square brackets, and instead of 12345, use your video’s vimeo code (the number at the end of the URL).

As for your video, I don’t really like the cartoony guy’s starting pose. His arms don’t look really relaxed, like he’s wearing a power suit or something. Have them more at his side, or behind his back or something?

And then when he says “what about the Twinkie?” his head moves, but his pupils seem to stay just at the same spot on the screen. It’s a bit funny looking. Just tweak his pupil movement a bit, and maybe narrow his eyes a little when he’s asking the question. It’ll be more expressive, and seems to match the sound bite better.

Thanks Drew, I’ve adjusted the arm positions of the first character and tweaked his eyes toward the end. I think I am ready to call this one done and begin work on my next project.
