To other artists whose parents didn’t approve, how do you guys feel now and do you have regrets?

No regrets per se, just advice I would give to my younger self is learn programming as well - or at least focus your efforts on a part of the industry that requires a gap to be filled. I see many artists now who have made plugins for 3d software which are invaluable to workflows such as forestpro for 3dsmax, tyflow for 3dsmax, decalmachine for blender, fabric specific or specialized software like marvelous & substance designer, brushes for zbrush etc. These tools can generate you passive income and give other artists great tools to use to speed up their workflow.
