Techniques for Mobile Game Ground Textures


Hi there,

Does anyone have any ideas how to create the texture for an environment ground that is very large. Specifically I’m curious how they approached it on games like Vainglory.

This is less a question of style, rather I’m interested in the techniques used ie is it using splat maps, or is it meshes split into different sections?

If anyone has any insight, I’d love to discuss.
