This key role for a Technical Art Director is to build, mentor and supervise the technical Art team on a large scale next-generation key franchise. Working with production staff you will assist in the creation of schedules and task delegation and to help define the Technical Art team milestones and key deliverables and pro-actively address technical production problems along with the creation of all pipeline and work-flow documentation.
Candidates should have:-
- 5 years minimum in the Video Games or Film Industry in either a senior or lead technical artist/director role.
- Experience in the design, implementation and maintenance of a large scale production pipeline and tool chain on at least 3-4 shipping products.
- Excellent understanding of character skeletons, inverse/forward kinematics, compression, particles, motion capture systems and image manipulation.
- Good understanding of shader systems such as CGFX and HLSL
- Programming and scripting experience with C++, Mel Script and or Perl desirable
- Expert knowledge of Maya, 3DS Max or Softimage
