Isnā€™t there another place to download the custom maps?? I thought there were other options besides Vanillaā€™s.

I tried my 2 host options and neither were very impressive for a fast download. I donā€™t know what Vanilla is feeding his server but itā€™s noticably faster handling the downloads. Changing d/l servers also requires changes to server cfg files (which is a pain). Itā€™s a lot easier just to remove the custom maps from the cycle rather than to move everything over to one of my slower hosts. Weā€™ll get it fixed for Saturday or next week at the latest. Play some Badlands. Itā€™s still very new and a good map.

Sweet job Kirt for getting the maps all set up. The guys from Bethesda Softworks [V101] had a smashing good time. Also thanks for the server for us to play on!

It sounds like I missed a hell of a night, I was behind a firewall that wouldnā€™t allow me to connect to external games so i wasnā€™t able to join. My laptop likely couldnā€™t have gotten reasonable framerates anyway.

I take it Vanillaā€™s site is running now?

From what I can tell, Vanillaā€™s server is still down.
The game server is running only Valve maps until further notice.
