So last minute before disembarking the ferry I snapped some photos of the parking deck. I was at the back so I grabbed some photos of the walls and big rear door as reference for Seabass. It’ll probably take a few iterations and maybe some new custom textures (which I sorta stink at painting in TF2 style) to get perfect, but I think it’ll help me solve some of the issues I was having with figuring out how to build the structural walls around the borders of every room.

That said, I have no idea when I’ll have another version ready for play. I seriously need to focus my attention at getting a real job and that probably requires more attention on building a proper portfolio.

So my job is driving me totally crazy. It’s getting brutal, but at least I’m getting a lot of hours and therefore overtime? A commercial kitchen run by two people now serving normal business from about 8 to 8 every day plus banquets for between 40 and 130 guests (some days next week are double booked with regular service and two banquets) all done by the two of us.

I’m thinking by the time I leave I’ll be ready for a break, so I’m contemplating a drive to visit some of you southerners. The question is, where are most of you? I’m thinking the San Francisco area is the most densely populated of all the options. What do you say?

To be honest the thought of driving through cities in general scares me pretty good… driving into major American cities might give me a stroke. I’ll see what I can accomplish, but shortly after I made that post work turned super sour and I might be unemployed by the end of the weekend. FUN!

Man, you just don’t understand the situation that is restaurant employment in this city. I handed in my notice today, I’ve got about 12 days left. And those 12 days are double booked banquets with no dish washers or secondary cooks, just me and my buddy Brian. I probably won’t get any days off unless we pull a magic extra day of the week out of our hat. I’m not a happy fellow right now, but when it’s over I’ll have banked some good OT to coast on for a bit.

Alright so the server went kaputsky last night. Kirt put in a support ticket and basically Gameservers wants to move the server to a new better box. Sounds good to me but a new server means a generic load. I’m just about done backing everything up so hopefully it won’t take long for them to transfer us. There will be a new IP address so Kirt will update the first post when it happens. Or just join on one of us. No idea if it’ll be ready for tonight.

New IP is in the first post. Password (and physical location) will remain the same. Looks like the server stats are reset. So, on the next game we’ll start building our new top 10 (if you check that stuff).
