#7885

Check out the guys photoblog. He’s got a huge Lego Arrested Development section.

#7886

wow, thishas been a30 min task to do.
I’m atthe ferry terminal after a brutal work week to visit my friend on the island but i was pushed back to the later boat. my laptop won’t connect to the wifi here so i’m posting this off m4 $7 data plan from my gas station phone company. it hasn’tbeen easy.
so here’s a pic of me waiting for the boat with my new Sennheiser headphones

#7887

Wha…? The hair, it’s gone?

#7888

You mean THIS hair? That was a funky angle too. I couldn’t see anything on my tiny phone screen, man do I look like I’ve got some serious doublechin there. And I can’t even tell what kind of room I’m in (it’s the interior of my car). That post seriously took over 30 minutes to make. By the time I hit post it was time to board the ferry.

edit
Oh, and for the sake of hair length comparison…

#7889

Just so you know, my son says he liked the cueball better than the ratnest. 7 yr old, what ya gonna do.

#7890

Sounds like you might not agree with him this round. I used to prefer the cueball myself, but now I like the “some hair but not that much” look. I’ve always preferred short hair. It’s just not easy being so pretty.

Anyone interested in taking a look at Valves DOTA2 can sign up here to try and get in the beta, http://www.dota2.com/tournaments/international

Also you can check out replays of the game here if you want to see what it looks like.
http://www.dota2.com/tournaments/international/schedule/Wednesday/

I must say it’s the best looking DOTA game out there, sorry Swizzle.

#7892

I watched the live stream start last night and felt the first pain as the killing blow was delivered to my career.

#7893

It looks like a RTS that’s missing everything I like about a RTS. Oh well.

Edit: DOTA 2, that is.

#7894

hey, i started playing tf2 few days ago, do we (cgsociety.com) still have an active server?

#7895

That we do. Check out the first post of this thread for the times, server info, and password. The next game should be Friday at 9 PM EST.

#7896

awesome thanks

#7897

Daniel, if you’re new to TF2 I’ll tell you the same thing I tell everyone. You’re going to die a lot, don’t worry about it. Everyone dies quickly in TF2… except Brainsample.

Alright, I’ve moved pl_borax back into the main list and cp_croissant is out.
There is an rc2 version of borax, I’ll see about getting it ready for Friday.

#7898

ha! no worries :), waiting for the next game

#7899

Is Borax that really long one with the geometry clipping errors and the door that only half opened sometimes, but was still really fun? Or was that Croissant? Which one had the high-gloss raytrace transport tube?

#7900

I’m sad that I missed whatever tube you speak of, but yes, the long, clippy, oddly broken payload map was Borax. Even though it was really broken, I enjoyed it. Croissant deserves the boot though.

Mostly related, did you guys see this TF2 Arcade Game?

Totally related, new blog post. More items, yay!

#7901

The TUUUBBBE was croissant. It is gone now.
Borax is the poorly designed level that we seem to love for some reason.

#7902

Haha, rad. If I ever finish building that Arcade Machine I started years ago that’ll probably find its way onto it. I wonder if it’s a PC game or MAME/Some Other Arcade ROM

#7903

Well, by definition it will never have been on a ROM so it probably won’t be that. I think I heard him say it’ll be an .exe you just run.

I know I’m going to regret this seeing as I seem to get creamed no matter what team I’m on  but borax_rc2 is up.
Get it here. http://forums.tf2maps.net/showthread.php?t=5906

#7904

There are plenty of homebrew ROMs for many systems, NeoGeo, CPS1/2, consoles, etc. It’s entirely possible he programmed it to run on a MAME emulator as a ROM specifically for home arcade projects. (that said, I took a peek at his other projects and they’re definitely written for windows OS)

As usual I’m working, so probably won’t be around tonight to play. I hope Borax is less grabby and more flowy now.
